Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a high energy, self-starter with strong interpersonal skills to fill a Production (Welding) Supervisor position at its new manufacturing facility in Palmetto, Florida (Port Manatee/Manatee County). The Port Manatee manufacturing plant is the second Air Products facility manufacturing primarily liquefied natural gas (LNG) heat exchangers. This position directly supervises 20+ shop employees at the manufacturing facility and is responsible for meeting all safety expectations, production schedules and budgets, and product quality requirements. The Production Supervisor interacts with all departments and levels of the organization to optimize processes and products. Preferred candidates will be knowledgeable in blueprint reading, metal fabrication, and welding techniques. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to instruct employees on manufacturing processes, motivate performance, lead and implement continuous improvement activities, and work with teams throughout the organization. Must be flexible to work extended hours, day and night shifts, and scheduled weekends.
JOB REQUIREMENTS - HS diploma/GED, Associates degree in engineering or metals technology preferred. - Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing experience, metal fabrication preferred. Requires excellent communication skills, strong computer skills (SAP a plus), ability to work well in a team, project positive attitude, and strong desire to learn.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
