Shoebox Fords are always popular, especially when they have a Flathead under the hood.
This 1949 Ford Coupe has the original flathead V8, but has been upgraded to a 5-speed manual transmission to make it more cruiser friendly.
Power rack and pinion steering and power front disc brakes have also been added with drivability in mind.
The body is painted in a cool Sea Mist Green that goes nicely with white wall tires and chrome hub caps.
The factory door handles remain in place, but are not functional since a keyless entry door popper system has been installed.
The interior is very nicely done in gray leather with custom door panels, aftermarket gauge cluster, electric clock, floor shifter with gray boot, and billet pedal covers.
The trunk is also nicely upholstered to match the interior and make it show ready.
Under the hood remains pretty stock except for the power steering reservoir and billet pullies.
The wiring harness has been replaced and includes a modern style fuse box.
With all of the custom cars being build, it is getting tougher to find a Shoebox Ford that isn't chopped, slammed, or restomodded.
This car stays pretty true to its roots when it comes to the body, under the hood, and flathead V8 power plant! This vehicle is eligible for an Extended Service Contract through Classic Vehicle Protection.
