Mechanical Specs Our C10 has a correct rebuilt and restored 150 horsepower (4.
3 L) straight-six engine that came standard from the factory that is a marvel to look at.
You will rarely see any of the 235 cubic-inch straight-six engines in a '60s vintage Chevy trucks anymore.
It's refreshing to see it and in all looks just the way it did from the factory with its factory blue paint on the engine block and valve covers, power brakes, factory black air cleaner assembly, stock exhaust and carb, and all sitting in a very detailed, painted, and clean engine compartment.
It fires up, idles nicely and pulls strong with the three-speed manual transmission.
Interior This pickup keeps its restored workman look with the interior that has a multi-colored tan/brown bench seat with matching door panels, creme/brown colored painted dash with great instrumentation and brown carpeting.
It also has the radio, black painted factory steering wheel, seatbelts, and a fire extinguisher.
Exterior This 1961 model year introduced a new body style for a light pick-up truck that featured many features.
Most important of these were a drop-center ladder frame, allowing the cab to sit lower, and independent front suspension, giving an almost car-like ride in a truck.
It has the great tan repaint of the bold jet-pod styling hood that looks totally different than the U.
S.
version, great rear window treatment that has to be seen also in comparison, great sheet metal, chrome front and rear bumpers, and chrome tow mirrors.
It rides on wheels with chrome factory hubcaps that are painted in the tan body color theme with chrome poverty style hubcaps.
Conclusion This restored 1961Chevrolet we have here at Skyway Classics, that was built in Venezuela, is a chance to own something you have never seen and may never see again at any car cruise or show.
