Vehicle Description 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Why This Car Is Special We have a gorgeous 1970 Yellow Mach 1 Mustang here at Skyway Classics that has a lot of originality and can be driven and enjoyed with now its M-Code 351 cubic inch V8 engine and automatic transmission with factory air conditioning.
A numbers-matching 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 in a rare color is one of the most desirable Mustangs even made so you know this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Mechanical When you pop the hood you will see the original M-Code 351 cubic inch engine that is painted in the correct Ford Racing Blue paint from the engine block to the valve covers and the air cleaner that has iconic 351-4V Shaker Hood Scoop air cleaner assembly on top.
All the other components look great including the distributor, coil, brackets, pulleys, factory cast iron exhaust manifolds, and all sitting in a very clean, restored, painted, and detailed engine compartment.
Our Mustang fires up easily and runs well as the V8 inhales deeply through a four-barrel carburetor and it exhales with a nice tune from the dual exhaust.
It is backed by a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, and front discs to make sure this Mach 1 is an all-around easy cruiser.
Interior Our 1970 Mustang interior was both comfortable and sporty from the factory and it is basically stock with its black interior consisting of black high back buckets that welcome you into the driver's seat where you will notice the AM/FM radio, chrome automatic shifter, sport Ford Mustang wood steering wheel.
Ford was giving the Mustang an upscale feeling on these upper-level Mach 1s, and you see it in the coordinating wood applique on the center console, radio stack, dash, and door panels, with matching black rear seat, headliner, and black carpet.
Exterior Our Mustang being a one-year only design has the fabulous look of a true Mach 1 that includes the fastback profile.
Add in the black Shaker hood scoop, hood pins, black Mach 1 rocker panels, and black striping package on the hood and tail, black rear wing, and this is a terrific muscle machine.
The hot yellow paint looks great with the Magnum 500 wheels with raised white letter BF Goodrich Radial TA tires, blacked out rear tail panel, blackout grille, and dual exhaust tips exit the rear.
