For Sale: 1966 Ford Econoline in Palmetto, Florida for sale in Palmetto, FL
Vehicle Description 1966 Ford Econoline Pickup Truck Why This Car Is Special Although it's hard to believe anyone would build a work truck or van on the 1960s Ford Falcon platform it's true and it happened.
Underneath the unique looking Econoline sheet metal beats the heart of the Falcon's midsize unibody design.
In 1961 the Ford Motor Company launched the midsize unibody utility vehicle.
It was well received and the company built many including the different looking pickup truck.
There's just something always cool about a forward-control van and we have a custom and restored 1966 Ford Econoline Pickup in our showroom at here at Skyway Classics.
Mechanical The front engine design of the this Ford is a well-balanced approach to the utilitarian design with the small block Ford V8 engine placed between the front seats so the lion's share of weight resides squarely over the front axle.
The engine sits underneath the enclosed compartment with a lid that opens up to show its gleaming chrome open element air cleaner, polished finned aluminum valve covers, Ford Blue painted engine block and intake, performance carb, modified electronic distributor, high performance spark plug wires, air conditioning, dual exhaust system with side exits and chrome tips on both sides.
It rides on chrome Cragar SS mag wheels and Firestone Firehawk raised-white letter performance tires front and rear.
Interior Our Ford Econoline has a great painted and custom twin bucket seat interior all in orange to match the body and bed of this truck.
Check out the large LED gauges in the orange dash, the sport wood steering wheel, body colored door panels too, orange painted engine cover, billet chrome door handles, all done to look the same as the body color.
Exterior These forward control vans offer individual seats up front, and the driver gets a commanding view of the road.
Plus, the long flat wooden floor in the bed is great for everything from carrying cargo to your surf board.
Our Ford has been repainted in a bright shade of vivid orange on great body panels and maintains the look like that Lil Red wheel-stander of Bill Golden.
It's all just period-correct additions that never take away from this van's classic and cool vibe.
Conclusion Our 1966 Ford Econoline modified performance truck that we have here at Skyway Classics is a great truck to have to take to the car shows, cruise the drive-ins or take to the Drag Strip.
Quit dreaming and come pop a wheelie of your own in this truck! So give us a call at 941-254-6608.
