Vehicle Description 1985 GMC High Sierra 4x4 Why This Car Is Special General Motor Company produced the first Sierra in 1975 as a full-size pick-up truck for the Chevrolet C/K trim.
The name Sierra differentiated the various trims in this line, such as the Sierra Classic and Sierra Grand.
The letter K denoted the model which had four-wheel drive, and the letter C the rear-wheel drive models.
